Independent Catholics Independent Catholics profess the faith of the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church. Independent Catholics are not Roman Catholics. Independent Catholics may be Old Catholics who are not a part of the Union of Utrecht, or Catholics who trace their apostolic succession to Bishop Duarte Costa of Brazil, or other Apostolic Sees. This site is provided as a service to the IC worshipping communities, clergy, and bishops as well as IC or ecumenical religious orders. It is dedicated to sharing their news, as well as providing links to them. We host weekly radio broadcasts, as well as live chats. If you would like your jurisdiction, Church, rite, or religious community listed on this site contact us with the information you want presented, and clear links for us to direct readers to your own website for further information. We will keep the site updated as information is sent to us. As Independent Catholics, we reserve our right to pray and worship God according to conscience and with the protection of civil law in civilized nations. Where this is not done, we will list the persecutions and those involved according to the news reports received. THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLICA weekly live online radio talk show. On April 7, 2008, the first broadcast of "The Independent Catholic" aired live on THE ISM Network on BLOGTalkRadio. This show airs on Monday nights at 11 PM Eastern Time.
